Established in 1962, the Youth Science Center (YSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving math and science education. With classes in Physics, Architecture, Mircobiology and more, the children spend the summer in a positive and productive setting.
Dennis and the employees of Baxco Pharmaceutical offered a warm welcome to the group of board members when they came to tour our production facilities. Chairman Ron Chong said of the event, "We enjoyed seeing the production line, the labeling process and learning about Essiac (a product packaged by Baxco)." He concluded that, "The generous donation of children's chewable multivitamins was much appreciated and will certainly benefit our students." The contribution was passed out to the parents as they picked up the children for the program.
The mission of the Youth Science Center is to inform, instruct and inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to discover the excitement of science and technology through exhibits and programs that promote learning through interaction. Throughout the year, the Youth Science Center Operates a hands-on science learning center. Visitors are welcome and there is no admission charge. YSC sponsors field trips throughout the year, usually with group discounts and behind-the-scenes looks not available to the general public. Most recently, YSC visited the Jet Propulsion lab to get a private tour of the museum, Mission control, and space assembly area. |
