Baxco Pharmaceutical Starts Off The Holiday Western Style
American Flags, barbeque, bails of hay and good old fashion fun where the highlights of an evening dedicated to unite business owners and stimulate Monterey Park's economy.
Wearing cowboy hats and doting six shooters, CEO Dennis Wong and Sales Director Dennis Navarre patrolled El Encanto in Monterey Park for those in search of some good old fashion fun. Monterey Park chamber of commerce hosted a pre-July Fourth business social, which turned out to be an extraordinary event. Bails of hay and American flag's highlighted the already beautiful grounds, while lines formed early outside for the amazing barbeque dinner of Pork Ribs and Chicken, sponsored by Baxco Pharmaceutical. |

People could be seen inside and out sitting with family and fellow business owners alike enjoying food, live music and good conversation. The theme of the event was Old Time Western and the goal of the event being to stimulate the local economy and get business owners to begin networking to help each other through these difficult times. Mayor Mitchell Ing deliver an inspiring speech about bringing the community closer together and then introduced the evenings surprise celebrity, Todd Bridges, from the hit television show, Different Strokes.
CEO Dennis Wong said of the event, "There is a great turn out tonight. We are selling raffle tickets for items that other businesses have sponsored. There is great music and the food is the best that it could possibly be, we are very happy with the turn out tonight and hopefully people will take advantage of this event and begin networking," and with a flick of his wrist he holstered his gun and walked off into the sunset selling raffle tickets.
Hosting the event at Monterey Park's famous El Encanto punctuated the evening with a taste of western heritage. The landmark location sits at the bottom of Cascade Falls located on El Portal in the city of Monterey Park. The site was developed by Peter N. Snyder, was the focal point of the Midwick View Estates was Jardin del Encanto, otherwise known as “El Encanto,” a Spanish style building that was to serve as the administration building and community center for Midwick View Estates and an amphitheater to be nestled into the hillside above Kingsford Street.
